Encapsulation Machine Operator

Job Purpose: The Machine Operator is a vital component of our team. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating the encapsulation equipment to ensure smooth, efficient production of soft gelatin capsules that meet with specific quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up machine and ensure all production materials are available.
  • Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed.
  • Ensures materials are correct and fed to encapsulation Machinery in accordance to specific procedures and order specifications.
  • Monitor and regulate machine and adjusting settings, equipment controls and operating parts as appropriate to product.
  • Continuously monitors the production process, ensuring the ribbon thickness meets standards, temperature is appropriate to product and weight and size of finished meets specifications.
  • Performs changeover from one product or batch to another, disassembles equipment and cleans according to procedures, reassembles and makes ready for next batch, works with tooling/set-ups.
  • Scoops capsules on to trays, spread capsules in a single layer, stacks trays for drying and completes stacks cards accurately.
  • Provides clerical support including generating and maintaining paperwork, corresponding files.
  • Lifts containers of in-process, raw, finished, or waste products and transports within department as necessary.
  • Maintains required logs and other records accurately and completely.
  • Performs all duties in compliance with safety rules, standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2+ years previous work experience.
  • High school diploma.
  • Must read and write English
  • Rate is Based on Experence and Shift

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to push and pull 50lbs
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs
  • Frequent standing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
